During the summer you can set sail to Canada, Alaska and more.
Alaska Cruise From Seattle WA. now includes Seattle cruise departure information for all the major cruise lines including Carnival Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Holland America Cruises, Princess Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Disney Cruises and more.
Big
news for families looking to save money on their next cruise. Walt Disney
has decided to move the Disney Wonder to Seattle in 2012 and will be offering
Disney Cruises to Alaska from the shores of Elliot Bay in exciting and robust
downtown Seattle. Yes, the rumor is true, Disney Cruises will sail a
total of 14 round trip 7-night cruises from the Port of Seattle with visits
to the mystical waters of Tracy Arm, the enchanting historical town of Skagway,
Alaska, the Capital City of Juneau, Alaska and the bustling fishing town of
Ketchikan, Alaska.
It appears that one of the big factors in this major change of departure ports is related to the cost of airfare for families flying into and out of Vancouver, B.C. A family of four can save a bundle on their overall vacation by booking their cruises out of the Seattle area saving on the costs of an international flight and additional taxes imposed throughout Canada.
In 2012, six major cruise lines and a handful of smaller independents will be offering Alaska cruises from Seattle that include round trip voyages spanning from 7 days to two weeks and longer.
Two cruise lines offer departures from the Bell Street Pier Cruise Terminal at Pier 66 in 2012. Celebrity Cruises and NCL (Norwegian Cruise Lines) will sail a total of 62 voyages from Pier 66 and Crystal Cruise Lines will stop twice in April as the Crystal Symphony makes her way north from San Francisco bound for the waters off Alaska.
Four other cruise lines will be departing from the newer Smith Cove Cruise Terminal located at Pier 91 further down the road near the new sports complexes used by the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners. Holland America, Princess Cruises and Royal Caribbean will share these births as they embark on the adventure bound Alaska cruises from Seattle in 2012.
