Cruises From Seattle Washington

Seattle is one of our favorite ports to set sail from. An abundance of local attractions makes the time in this Pacific Northwest city fun and exciting. Unlike many of the larger cruise ports, Seattle has retained it's own identity and the spirit that has Seattle rated as one of the top 4 places to retire is quickly evident.

Things To Do In Seattle Washington.

The best of Seattle is available to you and it won't cost you a fortune. Seattle is a collection of smaller towns within an average sized city. What makes Seattle so special is the diversity of the culture and interactions of all the various philosophies into one very interesting community of individuals.

There is a lot to do in Seattle for everyone in your party. This diversity has spun a city of grand attractions. Starting with Seattle Center, the home of the 1962 World's Fair, take some time to explore all the fun at the Pacific Science Center or enjoy the exibits at the hands on Children's Museum. Then take a ride up to the top of the Space Needle where you can see your ship from a birds eye view.

One of our favorites is a day at Woodland Park Zoo where you can walk amoung the animals or have a picnic in the park.

Other attractions around Seattle include the Green Lake, the Seattle Aquarium, Argosy Cruises Harbor Tours, Pike's Place Market, Boeing's Museum of Flight and the Experience Music Project & Science Fiction Museum. Most of the attractions would be considered inexpensive compared to other port locations.

Things to do in Seattle Washington before and after your cruise.

The Seattle Waterfront between Pier 52 and 70 is a bustling collection of local attractions, unique restaurants and interesting shops selling all sorts of items from wines to antiques. The waterfront is a good starting point for taking a ride on the local ferries, a harbor cruise, or astroll through Seatles famous Pike's Place Market. Be sure to try the seafood or chowder at Ivar's Acres of Clams than enjoy a moment by the fountains along the wooden piers of Seattle's Waterfront Park. All this and more is available within walking distance of Seattle's Pier 66.
